Lisa Heller
Lisa is one of the most deeply credentialed figures in the American specialty paper industry.
Over a career spanning more than three decades, she has held virtually every role the field has to offer - retail founder, product developer, creative director, international sourcer, workshop educator, and brand strategist, accumulating a body of experience that few in the industry can match. Paperism Designs is the culmination of that career: a business that draws on everything she has built, learned, and believed about the power of fine paper.
Lisa attended Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Craftsman and has taken many classes at the Penland School of Crafts and at Paper and Book Intensive. She has also studied with Paulus Berensohn, Hedi Kyle, Richard Flavin, Laura Wait, Claire Vanvliet and Eileen Wallace.

Alicia D. Keshishian
Alicia D. Keshishian is one of the most accomplished and highly respected voices in the fields of design and color.
​
For more than four decades, she has distinguished herself as an art director, graphic designer, surface designer, illustrator, color consultant, entrepreneur, and educator. Her work has earned industry recognition across multiple disciplines, while her expertise has influenced clients and organizations throughout the United States and around the world.
​
A graduate of the California College of the Arts with a BFA in Design and Illustration, Alicia further refined her craft as an artist-in-residence at the Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. She has served two terms on the executive board of the Color Marketing Group, where she developed and led the organization's education program, and also served two terms on the board of the Inter-Society Color Council. Her continuing study of color has included advanced coursework with Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, intensive Color Science programs at Rochester Institute of Technology, and studies with the Natural Color System in Sweden.

Today, Alicia continues to expand her knowledge of color while creating new work in her California studio. Her career reflects a lifelong commitment to design excellence, innovation, and the expressive power of color.

Dale Tanis
Dale Tanis is an accomplished multidisciplinary artist whose work reflects a lifetime devoted to the art of photography and printmaking.

Over a career spanning decades, he has built a distinguished body of work characterized by technical precision, artistic curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to craftsmanship. His photographs and prints have been exhibited in museums, galleries, colleges, and cultural institutions throughout the United States and are held in private and corporate collections across the United States as well as internationally in Malaysia, Taiwan, and New Zealand.
A graduate with honors from the New England School of Photography, Dale has earned recognition for both his artistic vision and technical excellence, including First Prize in Professional Fine Arts: Printmaking at the New Mexico State Fair. His work continues to explore the expressive possibilities of photography and printmaking, creating images that balance disciplined technique with a deeply personal creative voice.

Sondra Dorn
Sondra Dorn is an accomplished mixed media artist whose work reflects more than three decades of creative exploration and artistic innovation.

Over a career spanning 30 years, she has drawn inspiration from the diverse landscapes and artistic communities of Vermont, Florida, Western North Carolina, and the Pacific Northwest. Working across disciplines, Sondra has developed a distinctive visual language that blends printmaking with an array of mixed media techniques, creating richly layered works that are both expressive and deeply personal.

She earned a BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and an MFA from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her artistic journey was further shaped by the creative community of the Penland School of Crafts, an experience that continues to influence her practice. Since settling in Asheville in 2008, Sondra has continued to refine and expand her work, embracing experimentation while remaining grounded in the traditions of printmaking.
Her career reflects a lifelong dedication to artistic growth, craftsmanship, and the expressive possibilities of mixed media.

Jessica is an imaginative artist and designer whose work reflects a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and creative expression.

From an early age, she has been drawn to making and creating, developing a distinctive visual style defined by whimsy, warmth, and an appreciation for the beauty found in imperfection. Inspired by nature, everyday moments, and the small details that often go unnoticed, Jessica’s designs invite viewers to see the world through a lens of curiosity and wonder.

With a background in event management and a deep appreciation for culture, Jessica brings a unique blend of organization, creativity, and storytelling to her work. She currently works in communications for a small museum while continuing to develop her artistic practice. Based in a charming town in Switzerland, she shares her home life with her family and continues to find inspiration in the world around her.
