Founder Lisa Heller has spent a lifetime drawn to remarkable papers: the kind you want to touch, save, frame, and create with. That passion grew into Paperism Designs, a decorative paper company dedicated to celebrating exceptional design and the artists behind it.
Today, Paperism Designs is powered by a collective of talented artists whose original artwork inspires makers, collectors, designers, and dreamers alike.
But we didn't just want to curate beautiful paper, we wanted to rethink how it's made available.
We believe decorative paper should be as inspiring and versatile as the projects it's used to create. Instead of limiting you to standard sheet sizes, every design is printed on exceptional Japanese kozo paper and custom cut to the exact length your project requires.

Why Kozo?
Despite what many people call it, there is no such thing as "rice paper."
Our papers are printed on authentic Kozo washi, handcrafted from the inner bark of the paper mulberry tree. Coveted for centuries in Japan, Kozo is prized for its remarkable combination of beauty, strength, and longevity.
Its long, interwoven fibers create a paper that is incredibly smooth, lightweight, and a pleasure to work with, while remaining exceptionally strong, tear-resistant, and dimensionally stable. Naturally archival and acid-free, it's made to last.
Every Paperism Designs pattern is printed with museum-quality pigment inks for rich, true-to-life color and exceptional fade resistance, bringing together timeless craftsmanship and modern printing technology.
